Wizkid has revealed that his sixth studio album, Morayo, will be released on November 22, 2024. The announcement, made via Instagram, comes with a personal message from the artist, as the album is a tribute to his late mother, who passed away earlier this year. The title Morayo, meaning “bringer of joy” in Yoruba, reflects the deep emotional connection to his mother.
This marks Wizkid’s first album since More Love, Less Ego (2022) and follows a series of successful projects including Superstar (2011), Starboy (2014), Sounds from the Other Side (2017), and Made in Lagos (2020). Known for blending Afrobeat with global influences, Morayo is expected to explore themes of love, loss, and healing, with fans anticipating a mix of personal introspection and Afro-fusion sounds.
As excitement builds for the album, Morayo is expected to continue Wizkid’s global success while honoring his mother’s legacy through powerful music.
