Janet Jackson’s representatives have clarified that an apology attributed to the singer regarding her recent comments about Vice President Kamala Harris was neither authorized nor issued by her.

The statement, which included misinformation about Harris’s racial identity, was reportedly made to BuzzFeed by a man named Mo Elmasri, who claimed to be Jackson’s manager. However, Jackson’s team confirmed to NBC News that this was not the case, stating that her only manager is her brother, Randy Jackson.

This development highlights the importance of verifying claims made on behalf of public figures, particularly in sensitive political contexts.
